At first glance I was worried that this book might contain a message that was going to be “force fed.” I was wrong. What I found was a great romance and a story of how waiting for the right person can pay off in the end.

Meet Anita and Tony. They’ve known each other for twenty years and their relationship has been full of challenges and dares. I like a woman who’s up to a challenge. And Antia is out to prove that just because she doesn’t speak Spanish doesn’t mean she’s any less Mexican than Tony. So she sets out to cook him dinner, a traditional dinner, to prove him wrong. She gets a little more than she bargained for.

A great short summer read with memorable characters. My only complaint was that it could have been longer. But that’s always the case with great books, right? I’m looking forward to reading more from author Terri Molina.

Thank you very much for the wonderful review! I’m so glad you enjoyed the book. Funny, you’re not the first person to tell me they didn’t want it to end. ;-)

    Her Will, His Way

Read the book soon after it hit the market and, like the reviewer, was dissapointed that there simply was not enough! A potent and powerful story of modern romance with the feel of such grand old romances like “Adam’s Rib” and Tracy and Hepburn (on-screen or off).

When Anita inherits her grandfather’s flower shop she finds herself out of Chicago and back the Rio Grande Valley and her family’s roots. What she doesn’t realize is “Officer Hottie”, Antonio Hernandez is part of the bargain. And the adolescent taunting picks up right where it left off years before.

But this time, Tony’s family, and even Anita’s own friends see what appears obvious to everyone but Anita, and they all seem to help Tony in his pursuit of her while Anita’s greatest battle is with herself.

This is a great read for a hot summer day, guaranteed to make you sweat, and far too short for the characters and this reader.
