David Eric Laine has seen a lot in his career as a LAPD detective, but nothing prepared him for the case he is now working, involving the murder of young pregnant Ukrainian women. As he begins his investigation, David has to contend with his sexy new partner who wants more than a work relationship, It brings a distraction to the investigation that grows daily. Each fact he uncovers seems to take him deeper and deeper into the streets run by gangs and crime. From a cute little bungalow to the slums of the streets, David’s investigation leads him into trouble both professionally and personally.

P.A. Brown masterfully weaves a story of deception and intrigue. The plot was realistic with many layers, keeping us biting our nails until the very end. David had a lot to deal with as the novel progressed, from his partner on the job to partner off the job to the absolute evil he was encountering in the investigation. Chris was an excellent foil to the evil in the story and the two had a lot to work out. P.A. Brown’s stories just keep getting better and better. She has another tale coming in this series in March and I know many of us will be anxiously awaiting its arrival.

All the men in Avery’s life eventually left him. While JD is appealing, he is afraid to give everything and be left behind when JD returns to New York. JD has never met anyone like Avery. He presents a challenge he is sure he can win. But in the end, who really wins? From the first glance, it is obvious these two should be together, but will the past and the future allow them to realize every potential? Two wonderful heroes, an excellent touching story, and some D/s action all in one tale – Texas Surrender by Claire Thompson has it all.

This promises to be an excellent journey. The next step is Blood and Holly. Hooked from the first line to the last, Blood Lust by Stephani Hecht is intriguing, exciting and hot.

The first Drone Vampire story I read was later in the series. However, I quickly became hooked and determine to read the rest. Stephani Hecht has created a fascinating world filled with danger, conflict, and intrigue. In the midst of all this, the characters find love so strong, it can survive anything. Ryan’s life had taken a turn which kept spiraling down and down. At the lowest point, he was saved by a vampire, a vampire who would become everything to him if only he is ready to accept it. Hop on with Stephani Hecht and meet the players in the Drone Vampire series. Start your journey with Blood Fever and you will never look back nor will be sorry.

Madeline Honeylee is reeling from a breakup with her fiancé when she begs Wolf O’Connor to make love to her. Wolf has always found Madeline exciting and desirable and does not want to take advantage of her vulnerability. But when they touch, he can’t seem to stop himself. They spend some beautiful time together and Wolf knows he wants more. With her fiancé gone, Wolf plans to be the man in her life and proposes a wicked proposal designed to annoy her ex. His proposition works so well that now he must convince Madeline that he wants something real, especially after her ex shows up and tells her that Wolf is using her for revenge against him. With her heart already in pieces, is Wolf the one to mend it or break it further? Wolf knows the answer but Madeline is not so sure.

Both Wolf and Madeline embarked on a plan that resulted in a surprise ending, but Madeline did not want to fully believe in the possibilities Wolf presented. Madeline was perfect for Wolf and so he was for her as well. Their interaction was beautifully done and made for some great reading. The ex was a great counterpoint, giving someone we really wanted to hate. Wicked Proposal is the perfect combination of romance with the right touch of plot twists. Tierney O’Malley is a talented author whose books I know I will be seeking in the future as will her other readers. Wicked Proposal is a winner.

Stephen Liatos has reached the bottom. His career is in shambles as his belief in the existence of an artifact has left him a laughing stock; his love is non existent; and he is stuck in Knossos.  A new intern tells Stephen that he thinks he knows where to find that artifact and following him, Stephen suddenly finds himself in an amazing dream filled with hot men and more than a little danger.

Alex was to retrieve the necklace for his mistress and return to Olympus. Now he has Stephen along and has landed in Hades. His simple mission now turns into so much more when he needs to find a way to get the necklace back to his mistress and Stephen back to Knossos. His time with Stephen though has been amazing but they need to get out of Hades before their time there becomes permanent.

Stephen has spent his career searching for this artifact making him lose credibility in his career. Now at the bottom of his barrel, he finds Alex and when propelled into Hades, thinks he is having a fantastic wet dream and really enjoys himself. So too will the reader as we follow along with him and Alex in the incredibly hot journey. For Olympus’ Sake is a fun read but also very satisfying in more ways than one. Shayla Kersten has penned a tale that will definitely increase the heat level to scorching hot.

Max LeFevre has a problem. His has inherited the title of Pixie Prince and that title comes with golden wings, large golden wings that make his old bed impossible for sleeping. He winds up sore and bruised the next morning. A waiter in his favorite restaurant proposes the perfect solution. Bliss, the owner of a club called Carpe Noctem, has a space foam mattress that would be perfect for Max. The minute Max meets Bliss Wilde and her bed, he knows that both will be very satisfying for him. He is sure that Bliss is his mate but the only problems are his best friend, Alexa and Bliss’s brother, Olivier. Their past experiences with bonding make them hesitant to support a bond between them.

The Pixie Prince was a delightful book to read. The concept of Max as an underwear model combined with his problems with his mattress made for some fun reading. He and Bliss were made for each other but they have to get others to believe in them – something that could be tough. Lex Valentine has created an excellent cast of characters and we can look forward to more stories from her talented pen.
